Hi everybody, new to the site. Some great tips and sound advice on here glad i came across it! Anyway my question is.. Whats everybody's favourite brand of grips? Mine are the channel lock ones, straight jaw.

I just grab the nearest to hand but if its something thats needs serious gripping, i get the footies, they are a bit tiresome undoing the adjusting screw but there's no better tool for getting a strangle hold on something,

You got the ones with the adjuster, or the ones where they can only be set in say 5 predetermined positions?

I use these but i don't pay that price,,car boots you'll get them for 50p or mayby £1, i love tool hunting on carboot, i got a pair of record pipe benders for three quid....three quid bargain!!!😃

Been through loads had rothenbergers, bahco, draper and now got these channel locks which i like, don't want to get the cobras and then get fed up with them and they end up in the big bag of grips that i don't use haha. You got the ones with the standard red handle or the thicker red and blue handle?

Not keen on that style myself Rocket, they look similar to the rothenberger ones, groves always get worn over time and end up slipping jvtsl41E0pOEtzQWTQLo thumbs down

You got the ones with the standard red handle or the thicker red and blue handle? I've got all sorts Irwin, Bahco, Channel Lock, cheapo ones & I'll never buy anything else but Cobras. First tool out my toolbag & don't think they've ever slipped on a fitting yet. The last pair I bought were about £15 from Amazon.
