could be a sludge problem, perhaps when the flushed it ( if they did) the sludge in the rad moved to the middle,

if its not sludge then its bad circlation, blocked pipes/pipes too small/pump/air in system/or balancing,

I've had hassle where the system never filled properly after the boiler exchange, caused by the F&E 15mm feed being partially blocked as it joined on to the 22mm at the de-aerator,even though the F&E tank was full and the radiators were rebleed. The sludge in the radiator choked the air vent and they think the rads full of water but there not.

this happens a lot battle, what i do is fit a 'combi style' filling loop where its convenient so you can blast the water in, It works fine,

Can you not isolate rads other than these 2 & turn heat on. It might be ok

Isolate other rads endfeed and if the problem ones heat up OK then you either have a poor laid out system or under sized pipework or a balancing issue, I find with balancing you can over come all these problems but it can take time and patience mate.

My job today was some downstairs rads not heating up and when I saw the layout I could see why. oil boiler in an out building and 22mm flow and return come into the house then go all the way to the other end then upstairs into the cylinder cupboard, not to bad so far but 28mm would of been better. smiley-confused002asak2 then it goes to shit 22mm from the 3 port down into the floor and 15mm everywhere from then on upstairs and down. there is a cellar and went down there and managed to crawl around, it was horrendous, I spent a while just clipping the pipes up it was a mess and was only repiped about 7 yrs ago. So I spent a good while balancing the system and even though under sized pipework I managed to get them all heating up. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

I assume most of the pipework was plastic PB so why don't they do it like you say above, its not much difference in the install costs as far as I can see?

That's the plan battle in the new year, I'll put 22mm in like it should be. but for now they are getting some heat everywhere from the balancing which is a bonus.
