Well that's me done now for the next 4 days..... 1787034013 yippee yippee! Just 3 jobs today.................. 1st job to change an electric shower. 2nd job a "no water pressure to electric shower" repair job. 3rd job a new insert in a mixer tap (I've found that it's mainly the hot tap that drips so I always change that insert first, which in 9/10 cases fixes the drip. I was all finished at 12.30 (and that included a festive breakfast with some of the lads) so not a bad last day at all. Currently relaxing drinking a can of Fosters and might open the festive fiver Cava later on....... cheers tom Attachment DeletedTappy,

Don't you get the 2 weeks off Tappy ?, I've never been one for 2 weeks off at Christmas but I thought cards in plumbers had 2 weeks at Christmas (10 days), 2 weeks in Summer ( 10 days) a week at Easter ( 2 days bank hol + 3 days) and 2 days floating making 25 days holiday, Is that not the case any more ??

No it's not for us, though I have worked for firms that completely close down for 2 weeks at Christmas.
Here you have to make up with annual holidays and only so many are allowed off at once, which makes it highly competitive as to who will be allowed off at Christmas. If I had tried say in October the gaffer would say "I'm not authorising any Christmas leave at the moment", hence I never bother to ask and let the others fight it out between themselves!
I'm just glad not to be "ON CALL" anymore.
Tappy

That sounds to me like a very typical last day before Christmas of plumbing PB.
When people used to have SF CH there was always a burst boiler to do on Christmas Eve.
