I think that you'll like them JC.
I've had mine for two weeks now and am getting the feel of them.
They do seem a bit heavy and cumbersome when compared to modern grips at first, but you soon get to appreciate that wider jaw and the extra leverage you can get on them from the longer handle, plus they do grip really well.
It's still early days yet, but I'm thinking less and less about my lost Stanley grips now.
Wonder how tom's getting on with his?
Tappy,

Just ordered a pair, lost my good ones last week, I'd say my pump pliers are my most used tool so it goes that they're also my most lost tool Probably lose 2 pair a year so if these are decent enough I'll stick to cheap and cheerful in future. Funnily enough I usuallyprefer the cam type but at this price... Thanks for the link I often wonder what happens to all our lost tools. Do they ever get used again? Does the person who gets them fully appreciate their find? Do they end up with a different plumber?

Do they end up with a different plumber? I've got a nice little pair of 6'' adjustables that I found under a floorboard under a bath a year or so ago, so some do

under baths are like a library, you leave stuff there and you find stuff under other baths, then you lose them again under another,

They arrived today and didn't get a lot of opportunity to use them on my basin swap this afternoon, held the ISO's while undoing the compression nuts and held them again when replacing. From my all of 1 minutes use I'd say they're OK, I like the weight and stability of them, definitely worth a £3 punt
