So, thx Tom for taking the time to speak to me today The sink is still blocked!!! So I took everything under the sink off, all clear. The 40mm pipe then goes to the right as I look about 2/3 ft & connects into a large copper pipe. Between the trap & the copper pipe is clear. I took the connection off & ran the tap. 100% ok The large copper pipe goes from here & then into the internal cast iron soil. I put my snake in & face it good go but nothing came out. The soil stack is boxed in in the bathroom & tiles. The pipe goes into the stack & there are 2 large nuts which I could get any purchase on due to the toilet cistern being next to the boxing. So, I've failed again! I've had another 3 blocked sinks over the past 3/5 yrs that have all bee the same, trap & pipes clear but blocked. I've got to fix this one as if not I'll lose the custard. I'm at a loss. Here are some pics. Thx all & thx Tom again

I should add that the toilet bath & basin all go into the stack but below the last pic of the pipe & all work fine.

The 2nd pic is where the 40mm waste joins the large copper pipe with a straight plastic coupler.

How about if I get a piece of hosepipe, put it on the pipe & try to pour one shot down it through a funnel?
It's a real brain teaser

I find the chemicals ok if you've got all the time in the world - like I said in my other post
(Rockey not sure if this will help but on a bathroom basin I've fixed a joiners wood bit to standard draining rods before and feed them down the pipe until I've reached the obstruction and just turned the rod pushing and pulling)
I doesn't take much once you've got a bit physical agitation at the heart of the problem and a joiners wood bit with that starter point will pick away at it.

How about if I get a piece of hosepipe, put it on the pipe & try to pour one shot down it through a funnel? It's a real brain teaser Sounds a good idea in order to get the one shot down to the blockage. Wear rubber gauntlets whilst you do this though. That one shot dissolves hair and soap fast and would burn through your skin too. Just a thought in a different direction, that soil pipe is definitely vented right? Good luck with this one, Tappy,

I couldn't believe it Tom
I'd put all my bits away. Considering tell them it a new pipe through wall etc.
Then I just thought I'd try it & bingo
Very pleased & a tip in the brain now
Boil kettle sooner!

Glad to hear that did the trick. A word of warning about using boiling water if you're clearing a blockage from a ceramic basin. We managed to crack a wc bowl a while back when draining down hot water from a boiler in a bathroom through a hose into the toilet. I think I'd play it safe and use a funnel into the plughole just in case.
