So friends, what have you all got to do this week?
I'm with my mate tomorrow, Wed, Thurs & Friday plumbing. Tuesday I'm on my own but doing other bits so it's a full week as it looks.
Hope all are well

Busy If the weather allows it.I've got todo some external flood light work (new head mods to LEDS from HP sodium)but access times are tight and you've got to erect the on site mobile scaffolding tower to reach the heads - morning only.
Afternoon jobs are repairs so they can go very well or very wrong.

I hardly ever know what's coming at me in the week ahead, which makes it all very exciting, or as one plumber once said to me "they certainly throw you in at he deep end"! I do know that I've got a "asbestos refresher" half day course this week to attend though. Good luck to all.....

Just got back from an overfilling toilet, this afternoon I'm taking kitchen cabinets out to bring a washer in from a shed that blew over in the strong winds we had a week or so ago. Tomorrow I'll be putting the new cabinets in and piping up/drilling out for the washer. Wednesday's free up to now, Thursday and Friday I'm putting a bath in where a tiled stud wall needs to come down and be rebuilt with some good thick timber in the right place to support a heavy wrap around glass bath screen. Also got a 3/4'' ceramic tap insert to source this week, no bugger stocks them except online and I'd need a micrometer to measure up for the right one if I go online. Might go with a full turn tap reviver instead if they don't mind it not matching the basin.

Well,,,, finished the skirting today... Now the kitchen?? Hmmmm my mate has decided his lad's going to put all of the units in and I only have to do the worktops and splashbacks. "It's easy putting units in" he told me today. "They all have adjustable feet and the lad can level them all and screw them back to the wall." Yep kitchen fitting is fookin easy.. I asked him which units his lad is going to start with (there is a corner unit too) and he told me he'll start with the easiest ones first and work it out as he goes along. I've told him if all he wants me to do is the worktops and splashbacks , then that's all I'll be doing. I won't be "putting anything else right". I should add that there's a unit going from floor to ceiling which is hiding his combi boiler too (yep kitchen fitting is easy) Can't wait till Winston Wolf turns up in his car calling him a "Prize Plum." I'm seriously considering not doing the job and telling him to get someone else to do it.

If all he wants are worktops and splashbacks, then they're going in no matter how much out of level/ square the units are. Told him you can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear, but he reckons it's easy to fit a kitchen. We'll see.
