Lost my flux brush today,so I dipped my solder wire in the flux and wiped it around pipe and inside of fitting. Everthing thing soldered up nicely. Can any body see a problem with this method? If I get the seal of approval from you guys then im not gona buy another flux brush again..I either loose em, drop em in dirt,or some twat nicks it... smiley-face-shaking-fist !!!!! maybe a vid tom,, bMaM72ureaAMEVc6b1_1 camera

That's just what I always do E/F.
I have a flux brush but can never be bothered to get it out of the toolbox!

I do that a lot when i can't find my brush,,I've found the original clip and uploading as we speak type,

I've dipped the pipe in the flux before now. Also applied with a finger but it's stung like hell from a small cut so I'll not do that again!

Funny, I found a tin of non-self cleaning Yorkshire Flux & started to use it. Tell you what, leaves a lovely job - no solder snot on the tube & the solder runs well too!!
