I'm not too sure about that PB, the old saying " hard work never killed anyone" is wrong,
I liked Dean Martin's version - "hard work never hurt anyone, but why take the risk?"

it was my phone PB, One of my old fones , its a good fone so i thought I'll get a spare sim and use it as a spare, All part of my retirement plan, at some point shotly I'm going to cut off my exiksting fone and use a new number, so i don't get midered with folks wanting jobs, So the old fone is testing out the new sim for now,  |

Do you know any good plumbers near you Tom?
Maybe you could price jobs & subby them out? Make ££5,£10,£20 etc. per job & you just quote & maybe supervise/quality assure when you feel like it.
Could be an earner especially if you hesitant to give it all up 100% at once
Plus you’ve got good customers who might appreciate you doing that
Just a thought to save your old knees

I suppose one of the problems is when you tell the custard that you've now retired and don't do jobs anymore the next question from the custard is "do you know anyone who you can recommend for plumbing jobs"? Mmmm "Tell you what I'll nip round tomorrow and have a look"!!
It's very hard to say No and mean it.

thats bang on the money tappy, thats exactley what they say, this put us in a situation of letting them down on 2 counts and we can't cope with that, its a phycological trap, To one of my dear customers i offered a good mate of mine, but to my mind he charges too much, she asked , " is he a nice man like you" I answered " yes, he's a very nice man" After he's done the job she phoned back, " thanks tom for recommending Keith, he did a good job but he's not a nice man like you" in other words he charged more than i would,, |
