One of my calls today was to a beauty salon in the high street of town, my wife took the booking and asked if they had any parking because no parking means no plumberboy visit (fucked if I'm walking around a town with my tools) yes they replied we have 2 bays, I drove there 2nd call and no parking there are no bays, I pulled up and asked a postman who said the only parking is pay and display at the bottom of town. Lying twats !!!! Fucked their job out of it and continued my day. smiley-transport016 big bike

I often wonder how plumbers ever manage to do jobs in the city centers, it's bad enough parking on the small estate roads that I normally work on these days.

absolutely agree, A plumber comes in a van, if there's no room for the van, what do they expect him to do, pay a fine ? would they pay it ? would they fuck, they'd just say, oh tough shit, well its tough shit on them, twats, I've cancelled many a job for no parking space, and its not just plumbers, when you book a repair from a washing machine repair, one of the questions is alway, can the engineer park at the job,
its the way it is, smiley-sad056 nay

blocks of flats is a NO NO every door has a security lock on it now a days, Even if its a ground floor you have to keep buzzing the tennant to come in and get out, not worth the effort,

Had a call last month for a job in some recently built flats in an area of town where parking is always a complete balls ache. First question was about parking. The customer told me he doesn't have a car, so I can use his space in the residents parking. Got there to find that the fookin' residents parking is under ground and the headroom is 4" too low for my van.
Wouldn't have normally bothered, but it was an old customer who used to live elsewhere.

I bet not many people would of thought to check if it was underground parking.

Just two weeks ago I done a job in Battersea London - two man job plus a third man to sit in the van (he had a move it after the equipment was unloaded then move the vehicle to a cheaper parking spot) customer paid happily as no other firm she tried was willing to undertake the work on the fifth floor.

The Miele repairman sent to your home in London is job dependant, if it's a small job they send a tube/ bus visit engineer or a big job the use a van engineer.
