Finally got back and installed the new shower. PB how do you select between fixed head and flexi cause I've seen a job that would love the set up?

Hi battle, the bar mixer has the diverter on the left hand side so you turn towards you for the flexi head and away from you for the riser head.

I usually fit something similar to this: www.toolstation.com/shop/Taps+%26+Showers/d240/Shower+Valves/sd3000/Shower+Wall+Plate/p27249It's one I get from the merchants, there's nothing sticking out from the back unlike the one in the link, best part for me is the screw hole in the middle. I've used the ones like on your picture plenty of times and like them, just with the plate you get a screw hole in the middle, with the seperate ones, the holes for the screws are too close to the hole you made for the 15mm to come through, not usually a problem, but if you're screwing into tile on a stud wall I like the extra fixing point if you know what I mean.
