They’re very very reliable rocket, and I’m not just saying that as a wb engineer. We go to a very small amount of boilers sold.
One in three boilers sold every day is a Worcester. Visits to them are tiny. We spend more time at the 20 and 25 year old ones
if you have a problem with yours dm for my number, we can run through tests. What model have you got ?

If it’s the Greenstar 30i it’s over £1.3K including a standard flue😯😯😯. FFS it’s only delivering 11Ltr/Min!! its got a shitty aluminium Primary heat exchanger & loads of plastic. I think I feel sick 🤢🤢🤢 Ive been asking around & the supportframe is as flimsy as fuck & connecting onto the Jig is a nightmare!!!
I can buy nearly 3 Vokeras for that & they’re a cracking wee boiler.

Just googled and found one for £995 immediately! Someone’s pulling your pants right down dicky
fact is your cust cust gets their wish and you walk away with a few quid. Don’t see why installers worry about price....it’s the customer who pays for it isn’t it ?

I grew star junior Had an issue early this year when we had the freezing weather, had WB out on their fixed price repair, £275 I think it was, engineer swapped a good few parts once I told him about little problems. He was 100%! Mines 13/14 yrs old now & hopefully will last another 20!

Let me get this right BD, you want me to fit a pile of shite boiler into a customers house & pay three times more for it then other boilers out there??!! All these have roughly the same components, will last the same time too. Sorry BD, you’re taking the piss now.

No modern boiler will last 30, no matter how much you pay for it!,

Haha no dickie I’m not arsed what you fit pal....if you are watching pennies don’t fit the premium brand that is Worcester. Stick to new build and cheap shite ! I look after loads of Worcester boilers over 20 years old.....the he plus range are all 15-20 years old and there’s millions out there stick to vokera, ideal and alpha and the cheap shite....best of luck bud haha

I don't doubt that WB used to make some of the best boilers and they go a long way back in boiler manufacture. But recently I think they have gone too far with all the plastic, and seen a few with pinholes in the plastic bits. They rely too heavily on their past reputation. Advice to WB: if you're going to use more and more plastic in your boilers, at least make sure it's good quality plastic.
For me, I'll be sticking with my 15 year old Turbomax Plus. When that goes, it will be an Intergas. They have a single HEX, which is large bore copper tube enclosed in an aluminium shell. These hex's have never had a failure. Only 4 moving parts - no diverter. Less is more!
Longer manufacturing vid -
