Well, it's a shithole. It's also technically in Britain. Though you probably wouldn't guess it from the residents. When my brother was there 30 years ago, there were plenty of ding-dings wandering around. I would guess it's now much worse and they're in the majority.

not a problem to PB, easy money  Interested to know what you'd do. I guess if you insulated it that would be a start? To do it properly, wouldn't you need to dig a bit deeper (in and out) then core drill through to the house under the floor and attach on other end? And presumably there'd need to be an external stop tap (water company would pay for?) then mess around with that scary blue mdpe pipe I've never had the pleasure of going near. |

Goes back 50 years or more to when the Indians came over here to work as clippies on the buses. When my brother was at Birmingham Poly in early 90s, he used to say to them 'ding, ding - fares please!' Even his landlady of his student digs/slum was Indian. Imagine a female, Indian version of Rigsby. He'd be in clink if he said those things these days.
