Arrived today, recommended by PB and I'm starting to see why! For Β£30 its a weighty bit of kit and I'm looking forward to seeing it in action. I'm planning to boost a hot outlet that has probably 0.3 or 0.4 of head only.
Thought I'd create a new thread so I and others could find it easily.
One question I've got straight away is I don't know what that extra valve with the red top and cable coming out of it is for? Seems to plug into the main pump. My last half metre of feed to the taps is in 15mm copper so any advice on how to set this thing up greatly appreciated !

The part that plugs into the pump is the flow switch Dafty so when you open the tap it activates the switch and turns the pump on. The pump has two settings which are continuous or auto

On my combi boiler when you run hot tap and someone is in the shower it just turns into a dribble!and guess what, it's my fault! Anyroad my question is would one of these pumps sort my problem out? And score me some serious dad points?

Drag it past the heat exchanger to fastπ’ It won't deal with mains pressure endfeed. What flow have you got at home ? You may need a mains boost pump

Definitely got 2.5 bar pressure, I think the flow rate is 12 litres per min.

Baxi due Tec 28,,ππ Good boiler mate and the flow rate isn't terrible, that's combi's for you unfortunately. My advice is move out and leave them to it

Was planning the first fix plumbing for it today and noticed it said I can have it on the wall pumping upwards BUT it also says the flow switch must be positioned so that the cap on the top is horizontal and that can't happen if the pump is going up? Not sure whether I'm allowed to have it pumping up or not then. What do you reckon ? At this point I'm thinking of playing safe and going to left to right pumping but does then make the pipework a little more awkward.

Attached so it looks like can only be mounted left to right or bottom to top. But if you do it bottom to top then cap on the flow switch won't be horizantal.
Actually though, I've now got a bigger problem. Maybe that's why @plumberboy said to come back to him when fitting it ! How do I connect pipe (or even better my isolator) onto the inlet side of it ? Pic shows my thought of it being compression because that female thread fits a compression nut BUT the olive just slides inside the brass tube rather than stopping as it would in a normal compression.

Ok Dafty here we go on the inlet side use a 15mm by 3/4 flexi tap connector ( bin that 1/2" by 3/4" connector supplied) On the outlet use a 15mm by 1/2" flexi connector, the flexi's will help keep any vibrating noise down although they are very quiet. When fixing the pump in position as long as the motor isn't upside down all is ok mate
