Yeah been there many times anyone had it when you put your pipeslice on an old copper pipe and it crushes because the pipe is so thin.

Not had that issues PB but I went to one job which was fully piped up in porous copper which only showed up few months after the install had been finished. Now this was around 1979 ish when they were just short of copper and just pushing the thinkness boundaries to the limit. However, I do come across the odd pin hole in 15mm pipe copper pipe and never in the larger sizes unless they've been rubbing.

I had a pin hole on a call out recently just above the stoptap, a small section between a cluster fuck of endfeed I did manage to sweat it apart and solder a piece back in. If it hadn't worked I'd have to reconfigure the whole lot..... nightmare.

He wouldn't put his hand in his pocket to scratch his arse! He wouldn't give you the steam of his piss! They eat their dinner out of drawers!

Yes, quite a few expressions for being challenged in the spending department. The old one is "tight as a duck's arse". A much newer one I like that's doing the rounds is "tight as two coats of paint".

Tom can't be that tight if he's giving away 5 pounds in the Xmas competition.
He didn't say 5 pounds of what, but it's the thought that counts.
