Do you have to remove the chrome off the pipe for compression fittings? whats the easiest/quickest way to remove the chrome? can you use a multi tool to remove chrome?

Don't forget you can swage the chrome pipe if soldering, tom did a vid on it

I'm not a plumber but I can tell you what I did. I have a dremel with a thick, sanding like attachment. That got most of the chrome off quite quickly then finished off in the normal way with wire wool / mesh. It worked well and quickly for me.

We use 15mm Talon CP Pipe covers & Rosettes on CP Towel Rails. Nice sharp scissors & job done.
