A friend of mine bought a tin bath from screwfix & the overflow kit he’s got he’s saying the hole is too big so there’s a gap.
He’s not close to me do does anyone know about larger kits or a way to get him out of trouble? It’s not a big gap but you can see it. I’ll try to get a pic.

I hate Pressed Steel Baths. I’ve been to look at 2 broken baths this year, both in rented houses & both split so can’t be repaired. Tin baths are good if they’re look after as they’re not going to split. But if you drop something on them they chip which is never good. |

The Working Class are mainly manky scum & Social Housing is full of them, they damage everything & are rarely House Proud!! Went into a house today, stunk of cigs and dogs. Fella had to keep his dog on a lead cos it was trying to eat me, snarling and barking at me while I was looking at the potential job, had to keep repeating myself as the dogs barking was so loud. Ended up telling him to get another plumber as I couldn't stand it and didn't want 2 days of it while doing the work. Then went to a lovely 90 year old mans house that was so clean all I could smell was the last house on my clothes. There's some proper minging pads out there, went to a hoarders house a couple of years ago, was like them you see on the telly - every room 2 feet deep in shite they'll never use. 2 litre bottles of of piss in the bathroom about 40 of them. That was really bad. Funnily enough I was too busy to do that job too... |

I’ve never understood why so many companies go in at rock bottom prices for maintenance work in Social Housing?
I had an argument with one national firm’s estimator, they’d price one years CH maintenance of Soc. House. At £90 each. At the time a Grunny circulation pump would cost £40!!!
There was no way they’d make money, guess that’s why they go tits up!!

Was called to a job last week by an asian bloke, only his mum was in when I arrived but she followed me round with her son on speakerphone and talking in another language, he was asking me questions, daft ones that were pointless. So I said stop that or I'm off, she left me alone after that  I don't know if there's more shitholes here than anywhere else in the country, I think it's a mental health thing, you can't be right in the head to choose to live the way some folk do. |

I find the firms estimator is just looking to win work and once he gets a few contracts awarded he scarpers off to another firm before the QS have time to show the real time costings of his crazy guessing structure! |
