That's the original multi purpose saw from the 70s PB. Seeing one of those again brought back unfortunate memories of a nasty accident I had with one in the 70s. I was sawing through some wood when the handle separated from the blade causing the notches on the blade to rip through the skin on the back of my hand...ouch!! Never keen on them again after that..... I usually scrounge one of them throwaway saws that the joiners are skipping, plumbers can normally get a couple more years out of one...….were all just tight buggers really.

to be honest, I never like those general purpose saws, I don't know why but, they seemed harder to cut and I've tried a few, its just a personal preference but, I like the double cut panel saw better, it cuts on the push and cuts on the pull, and cheap as fuck www.screwfix.com/p/magnusson-20-wood-saw/8759v

The little bit on soil pipe I do, And inner flues (plastic) I’ve found , that an angle grinder cuts it ,and then you can use it to put a nice bevel on it in seconds , before greasing up to Insert 😎( metal wheel!! Believe it or not

Believe it or not I use a grinder too GB. Soil pipe & flues. But I use a diamond cutting blade, one for tile. It never needs replaced & does a lovely job👍👍 I got that tip from Shell Suit Dave on Screwflux, before I was unceremoniously banned, for the 14th time....cunts!!

I discovered diamond blade cuts flus a treat, unfortunately it fell in van and chipped , and now my £35 diamond blade for life is binned, I loved it too, hardly any sparks created ,unlike my cheap steel replacement🙃🙃
