no they did't air test in those days but we had a little cheat in case of a failure, The joiner was notorious for nailing pipes, So when we had a leak, the joiner was blamed, every plumber worth his salt, had a little nailed lenght of pipe in his tool bag to show the site manager, that way, we claimed 'day work' to fix it,
