10 years ago when we moved in my stop tap under the sink wouldn't move. So I got a big pair of grips on the handle and gave it a fking good wrench. The water literally blasted into the cupboard and all over me. It really was like a scene from fawlty towers and I'll never forget shouting at the wife to get the number of SE water whilst I was panicking trying everything to keep it at bay. And so began my interest in plumbing...... Yep, it’s panic stations while shitting yourself I had a shower today, filled up a system to check for leaks & the hosepipe popped off. Very cold but I was right by the lever valve so I saved the day Although the mains pressure causes plenty of flooding in seconds.

One time after isolating a bathroom supply, to work on an electric shower, I realised there was a mains fed electric shower.........and a faulty stoptap supplying the house
