Hello
A heat only boiler with unvented, approx 8 rads. Sealed system.
Losing pressure slightly each day, not much but going down.
I’ve checked for leaks & weeps, had floors up, everything is dry, no leaking.
Any thoughts please?
System is about 10 months old. WB boiler.
Cheers all

What I would do if it's just a small pressure drop daily and you've check all the obvious item for visible discharge PRV - condensate pipe dripping - internally for leak sweats etc
Set the system gauge to an exact mark - close the flow and returns at the boiler why this will prove if it's internally within the boiler or on the external radiator circuit.
If there's no pressure drop its not the boiler it's the radiator circuit and vice a versa!

If it's been loosing pressure and the customer has been topping it up (it could of been over pressurised accidentlly) and unseated the PRV as they give hassle if activated!

Cheers I've got my own gauge on a flexi hose which is much more accurate and considerably physically bigger than the integral gauge it, allows easier monitoring for such a problem!

I was just going off of the guauge on the vessell. That works but the smaller the gauge the harder to see a small movement so then I leave it over night.

Reading this makes me think I'll never get unvented. I've never liked them anyway coz I'd have to have one of Dick's mates ripping me off once a year and still the thing might explode. If you've got space (and not sure about structural issues on normal suspended floor) are thermal stores any good (with a normal boiler)

Feel around the backs of rad valves,I've had it before tricking down the back of the pipe unseen down to crawl space,

Dafty there used to be a poster over at shitfix with your mind set, he was called ' water systems' and he advised everyone to get a thermal store and, he had a famous video of a pressurized cylinder taking off to the moon, In realty the video he posted was of some guys, by passing all the safety devices, then giving it extra heat with the hot water no where to go and they did make it explode but it was't easy, The thermal store was a 1980's failure, like the betamax video format, they both died because, they were shite, Every plumber will tell you of the sludge build up in the heat stores caused more problems than they are worth,
over to Dick,,,

Micro leaks can evaporate on hot CH systems & a couple can show up a small system pressure loss.
Are they topping it up when the system is cold? What size is the expansion vessel?
