Just watched the video
I've never seen one but on his floor and that type of nail it does the job.
I find if the jobs been done with a nail gun with those ring shank nails its destroys the board getting it out.

Strangely, I been meaning to post about lifting old floorboards. (Straight cut boards with cut nails.) I took the skirting off the downstairs, and used a jack and timber from the crawl space to lift them.
Obviously I can't do it upstairs, so is it a case of butchering one to get access to the rest? What do you guys do?

I've just looked at the price of these and decided, Its a gadget, £28, Toms method is, get a nail punch or a big nail (6 inch) and twat the nail right though the board, watching the video, my method is quicker, cheaper but, you might split a few boards,

Andy is a good guy. A real grafter, not like some of the Plumber Pricks on some of these videos. All the gear & no idea!!
Oh, here in Jockoland the Joiners did it proper. All T&G flooring is nailed through the tongue. So no Puller required!!

Like the handy, slide action nail remover that Jethro uses in his video. Never seen one of those before.
They're £90 upwards. Faithfull do a cheaper version.
