you've had a rough day pal, first squeezing through a trap door built for a rabbit, them digging a grave to struggle with some plastic pipe, while I've been playing in my play pen all day

How deep was that, looks a good meter or so! It was about a metre endfeed, usual thing with water leaks - where it was bubbling up out of the ground wasn't directly where the leak was, first dig was about 5ft out

I thought that looked deep enough to be ok from the frost strange its failed - any idea why PB? It's old black alkethene pipe battle and when it was layed they've back filled with old bricks and all sorts of crap, typical farm yard problem. I've told them it will need re-doing properly, complete re-lay

Be careful buying some of these stop taps as some are only suited for large irrigation systems

Did you use a digger PB or was it a shovel job (those walls seem a little bit to straight for a hand dig)? I always get excited when I get that first glimpse of the water pipe after all that digging! Just shows how mad plumbers are !
