Hi AJ, there are many options , cheapest way is a front wheel conversion option 2, is a back wheel conversion but best but most expensive is a mid drive conversion, then you need a good battery to suit, again, not cheap the best I made cost £285 for a mid drive kit £250 for a battery So that came to over £500, I built another using a back wheel conversion kit, that one stopped working after only 20 miles, luckily it was still in warrantee, As you know most of these kits come from China So sending them back will cost more than is worth while and ebay/amazon won't help after 30 days, so they can be a gamble, My advice would be, buy the whole bike from a reputable company ( Halfords) you'll pay £700/800 for a decent bike and will get 12 months warrantee Tappy recently bought one from amazon Perhaps he will give feedback on that one, It realy is a mine field because its relatively new technology, There are lots of videos on youtube so its a case of going, eneney meany miney Moo and hoping for the best' Good luck with your purchace AJ and keep us informed,

I'm getting the hang of it now tom and you were right it took a while after over 40 years of not riding a bike getting used to cycling again. £879.00 delivered it cost from amazon, and it's a 27" wheel ancheer e-bike (the cheapest one they do). Looking forward to the better weather to arrive so that I can get out and about on it more. I'll see if I can get my promised video on it up this coming week.
Tappy,

Thanks tom. Its for a teenager so don't want to buy a brand new one coz might not ride it after a couple of weeks and get ''bored'' and start playing the playstation 5. I am thinking of getting the thongs direct from china. Any links te the battery. Do I need anything else? Many thanks

One thing to watch for is, will the battery fit where you want it to, the overall lenght of that battery is 14 inches and you need another 2 inches to slide it in, modern bike frames don't seem to give much room,
