Be v grateful if someone could confirm if sink wastes are generally standard sizes? e.g. This diagram shows 70mm and 45mm but some have 70mm and 50mm. Is that just a difference in flange width - the flat bit around the hole ? And would most/all wastes fit it?

as far as I know, they are all inch and a quarter but there are, caravan and boat sinks that have a smaller one, I would say that one in the drawing is standard,
