The first guy’s just out of Skool & needs a microphone, couldn’t hear a fucking thing!! The Second Guy is just a Washer Changer, clearly little skill or experience!!
Not a patch on our Tom!!!

The first one, I looked at his bleeding a rad vid. Should you turn the boiler off before? I would've thought that when the pressure goes down to zero, you may need to bleed again? Air locks?
The second, I saw plumberparts flogging rads...

to me they are lads making video's to promote their business, using modern technology and apps, fair play, they are long drawn out videos with just 'snips' of interest, I keep mine short and to the point , hopefully interesting rich in knowledge and experience, some talk the talk and others walk the walk, Tappy is my favorite , and Dicks ( fibre washer )

The Second guy has a video of an install on New Builds. He’s running a secondary return in John Guest FFS!! It should always be copper.

So the new channels didn't go down too well. Suppose the 'day in the life of a plumber' vids are getting a bit crowded now. Still some great ones out there like Dr Pipe and PB Plumber. Can't watch Plumberpants, too much arsing around and gone all showbiz. Even got his own studio now. Keep it real!

I watched some of her stuff last night as a bit different. www.youtube.com/channel/UCI98X472VAN21qth3qGQNoQAfter wasting too much time watching it, what I understood is most of her work comes from the council and involves driving for an hour and a half to flip a switch. If there is anything at all that isn't strictly electrics e.g. cutting a hole in plasterboard then she can't/won't fix it and files a report that they need a builder to come out. Even on the pure sparks side, if she goes into a flat with hard-to-find problems she sometimes can manage it herself but quite often has to file a report "more detail needed" upon which a male colleague will go in and figure out what is wrong. Have to say it was a bit of an eye opener as to where my council tax is going but I did enjoy watching them nonetheless. Shame there isn't a plumbing equivalent. If there was I suppose the girl plumber could do no more than turn off an isolation valve...

Though, you’re always left with a feeling of a hidden alterer motive with them, Dr Pipe wants to flog his own Tools etc & PB is in it for the manufacturers’ freebies. However, they’re both very good. Plumberpants, is a bit of a Plonker, clearly a nice kid, but only interested in the rewards.

Does Tappy have a youtube channel Tom? yes he does, I'll let him tell you in case he wants to keep it private, It's not really intended as a plumbing channel Karl, I just post the occasional plumbing job's, fishing trips, bike rides, family trips, walks etc on it, if I think brewcabiners might be interested in the content then I'll give a link to it on the forum. I don't view it in a commercial sense at all, however, there is a build up of plumbing videos on there now that I've made over the years so it could be of some interest to some people. www.youtube.com/user/CRABLEGG

Get the impression that Dr Pipe is a bit like that because he has to work in London which seems a bit grim. Must be a depressing place to work. Agree about PB, sometimes distracted by shiny pipes and new, expensive tools. Which lead to the famous flooding incident.

PB plumber was also the one that fitted a new stop tap on a job, put a drain off above the stop tap....all good and then directly above that a non return valve in Also fitted a three pin plug connector to his wet vac cable and then everyone pointed out it was the wrong way round , had it come disconnected the three pins on the exposed side are now his death sentence I do admire the efforts these people put into making YouTube videos, I couldn't do it and wouldn't want to. He's not a bad plumber I just think he's more focused on making videos and polishing pipes. When you look at people like Tom or Steve lav it's very real, no shiny tools - old tools....old methods....blood & sweat.....job done
