I’m my house everytime any hot tap is on the pipe banks & pops. It’s quote loud.
It’s always done it ever since I was a kid but now I’ve put an unvented in it’s a bit louder.
I know the issue, the hot supply pipe wasn’t fully renewed as it went from the airing cupboard under the floor & under the bath so to renew it the was would’ve needed to come out & that then would’ve caused further damage, work & cost.
I know the answer but is there any secret or magic tips to quiet it down?
Cheers all

Check the Air Pressure on your Potable EV son. Turn the HE off & ensure the EV is drained, check the pressure, it should be .9 x incoming pressure.
So say you’ve a standard Inlet Group & Pressure Reducing Valve, it’ll be set at 3Bar so;
3Bar x .9 = 2.7Bar air pressure.

The most popular cause today dd is wear on modern 1/4" turn taps spindles and it's not always the one you are running which is causing the noise, mainly it's the hot cartridge in the sink tap that needs changing,however, on some properties I've had to swap them all before curing it. JJ recently posted us a video of his dads tap doing it?
Of course this doesn't fit into the puzzle if it's something that you've always had.

Yeah the noise is definitely coming from the hot pipe that goes under the bath. I connected it in the airing cupboard & it’s 100% that pipe. Old 1960’s 3/4”.

its defo a water pressure thing, try turning the stop tap off, then open a quarter turn, if the flow is not enough, another quarter turn and play about with it and see if you can get a happy medium

I had similar with my washing machine,I cranked the iso valve right down to washing machine and it cured it👍 maybe worth a try👍 It’s on the hot supply pipe EF. The old original system was low pressure fortic & now its unvented so I think the only way to properly cure it is to renew the old pipe but the reason I didn’t do it is because from the airing cupboard the original pipe goes under the floor & the under the bath so I just put new pipe from unvented to the airing cupboard floor then connected to old pipe. That there is the problem!
