You can just stick the Cistern with a couple of blobs of silicone. I have just done an en-suite where the Cistern didn’t have holes for the screw to go through. i have noticed this more over the last few years. just make sure there is enough space to get a hand saw behind the Cistern so you can remove it when you need to. Now that we're out of the EU all non holed cisterns have got to be changed for British holed ones ! Generally it's bad news though, because you can assume that the cistern will also be masticed onto the pan as well as the wall

Generally it's bad news though, because you can assume that the cistern will also be masticed onto the pan as well as the wall My general rule with sealing against rubber is to try it without any gunk first - it usually seals esp if the rubber is new. As for the EU, as I've found out, they use 90mm pipework. Is that cause the Germans have smaller sheizzers ? Serisouly, I do wonder why that is. Today I had to drive for an hour just to source a 90mm push fit connector !
