Done me bathroom and on to the "cloakroom" i.e. bog downstairs. Would anyone be kind enough to help with the following? I've labelled up this pic. Pretty sure A is the branch connector on the stack. Is it push fit? Not sure about B and C? But whatever, how do I rip that out and connect up to my new 110mm pipe? Attachments:

A = the SVP Branch.
B = the socket to the WC from that SVP Branch.
C = a WC connector that some fucking chancer has stuck in!!

yea, pull the lot out from the soil junction a bent pan connector and a short lenght of soilpipe,

Thanks a lot Tom and Dick also. I think I know what I'm doing now I guess the junction must be push fit if it can be pulled out? Just hope the seals will be ok after 40 years ! |

If that was my job I would want to know what's directly above and below the soil pipe.
Next I would want to cut a section of the soil pipe out (which has best access for electric reciprocation saw) to allow enough access to commence a controlled dismantling off all items below for the planned upgrade work.
Note :- The soil stack above the cut point would require supporting or could slip away and create unnecessary work above when you don't need it.

Having done that a bit I can see that in fact A and B are the same item - namely the branch connector. Its white in that area due to paint or other crap. So to my eyes it looks like C needs to come out. I was hoping I could then clean up the seals and push some new silicone greased pipe in ? Edit: This is a ground floor WC. Below and on other side of wall is a drain which runs under the garage so would be terrible if that got disturbed and leaked. Above is a new bathroom I just finished completing including boxing in the soil stack  Attachments:

So look at what's going in and see what needs to be shifted to allow that. |

Looking at your cleaned up image there's should be No reason to disturb anything to do with the stack and just deal with the work finishing at the branch connection.

Make sure your ‘Husband’ doesn’t go for a Pan Jammer when you’re disconnecting the soil pipe from the SVP Branch. You don’t want covered in his shit or maybe you do???!! Who am I to judge what people do in private??
Check the height of the WC branch, ensure it’s low enough for the new shitter, the outlets are normally about 180mm from the floor👍👍
Oh, & wash your hands, shit gets under your finger nails on these jobs.
