I like the Monument Omat, because it has a hole in it to wrap around pipes which is useful sometimes. Think they do small 150mm and bigger 300mm ones. There are cheaper mats out there. If you're not doing a lot of soldering and have a spare offcut of cement board, this makes a good heat barrier for soldering.
Or grab a real bargain. WTF are they on!!!!!

Just an update on pipe leak. it was a hot water pipe that was leaking not a flow or return my bad i think my name should be diy dafty. its a combi in my house turned the mains water off, Cut the pipe and about 3l of water came out quick. Nearly shit my pants then quickly opened kitchen sink tap and it calmed down and then stopped. Cleaned pipe with wire wool fluxed and used 2 solder ring slip couplings. and a bit copper pipe soldered it no leaks so far touch wood. First time i soldered Bloody cheek of it.  |
