Hello All
So the supporting block wall already has a 32mm pipe chased into it. I obviously don't want to dig further into the chase BUT if I was to dig out just the top of the pipe to fit a new elbow maybe that would be ok? I mean even if I cut the blocks right the way through (which I wouldn't) it would only be like having a tiny window the size of a 32mm elbow.
Any thoughts and also I'm connecting onto chrome waste pipe and the instructions recommend a "mullti fit compression" connector. I'm guessing that's even worse to bury in a wall than a solvent-weld so any ideas? (apart from don't hide everything and bin the chrome waste pipes - I'm not allowed to do that!)

Well I've now had the benefit of reading this thread on SFX www.diynot.com/diy/threads/channelling-wall-for-32mm-waste-pipe.528518/Not sure I like "Madrab's" solution basically burying a compression in the wall especially as I need to plaster over it. I don't know.... Starting to think about binning the chrome bottle and risk using a McAlpine bottle trap (we all know quality at McAlpine depends on how many drams the assembler had that day...)

I had that problem once, a chrome pipe, too short to go through the wall and needed a compression fitting, My solution was the chase the wall out and use a compression plastic elbow, A pushfit elbow would have done it as well but to my mind the compression would be the better option, tested it under pressure and I was happy it will last ,

All what you suggest can be done but will prove an issue if repairs are required further down the line. i've seen me spend a whole day trying to solve a weeping joint on a poorly installed wall mounted sink with its waste connector buried into a solid wall.

Thanks for that.
I'm going to leave the existing SW pipework in place and fit a plastic trap maybe with plastic SW bit of pipe to replace the ugly/old/painted one that currently sticks out of the wall.
I've already sanded the pipe at the back so I can cut it and fit a new SW connector. Where I sanded its quite rough but should be ok ?

Watch Count Draculaโs video & stick it with CT1......๐๐๐๐๐ Well there wouldn't be much room for clips - what else are you gonna do ? (cept use stixall as half the price)
