Hi all Had to go to a rental prop i own after tenant complained of leak on the basin...old flexi hose was passing so isolated hot tap and changed the hose...job done.
Tenant had switched off the mains stop cock due to the tap leak so turned it back on.. The cold tap in the downstairs kitchen was fine.good pressure. But the cold taps upstairs in the bathroom on both the basin and bath had no water...I suspect the taps could be knackered ( el cheapos fitted)i intend to swop em over...apart from this is there anything obvious it.could be if the taps swop dosent work. I find it unusual that the taps on the cold on both basin and bath would fail almost at the same time...

Are the upstairs cold taps mains fed or off of the cwsc in the loft?
It’s very rare for mans cold to completely stop. In fact I’ve never seen it.
What system do you have? Combi, unvented or gravity?

Hi its a combi system with no tanks..
I've not seen mains cold block either hence why I suspect the taps need replacing

Although we had new boiler fitted 1 month ago but I can't see that being the issue

Some acyrilic head taps are notorious for getting the jumper jammed. Though, more often that not it’s the Hot tap. Is your WC flushing OK?

Undo said tap underneath the bath / sink & see it if flows. If it does it’s the taps. If not, blockage in pipe.
