All mirth aside, why is it the UK home population is shrinking ? Would the BBC etc be happy if 50% of the population became gay and the other half had a sex change ?

I’ve got the benders & first thoughts are the Nylon Guides will take some abuse & need replacing after a short time. They pull a nice, tight bend. Deffo a smaller radius former than the Hilmor Handibender. I’ve emailed Monument to get the radius & measure back sizes, let’s see how quickly they respond!
More later, fucking busy at the minute!! It’s been a long......Winter!!!

Finally got around to doing some details on these benders, here’s some ‘measure back’ details for the 15mm one;

With the above details (15mm only, not had time to do 22mm), you can form 90degree bends, offsets etc minimising wastage & be spot on every time. Copper tube is expensive, so these details will save you a fortune in off-cuts.👍👍👍

Dick We can see your imgur account but as yet, you have not put any content on there, I'm now looking into JJ's suggestion about upgrading the forum to be more user friendly for loading stuff, bear with me either things will improve or a fuse blows and everthing goes off,

Thanks, Dick. Looks interesting. Don't suppose you could do a wee video when you have time?

Sorry Woody, I don’t have a GoPro or anything & not a lot of free time. Any-rode, I can explain it & it’s fairly simple. Oh, & by the way the ‘McKeowns’ detail(sorry if you can’t read that too well) will be for the radius of most benders!! The lower figures are for the Monument one featured, it has a smaller radius. Let me explain a couple things of bends on 15mm with a Hilmor Handibender(or the most common). Simple one first; 90degree bend. You want a bend with a 150mm tail to the centre of the tube. Measure & Mark 150mm, ‘measure back’ 70mm & Mark. So your 70mm mark goes into your machine at the stop end of your Former, pull your 90 & that’ll give you a 150mm tail!! Next a 45degree bends forming a 150mm offset. Pull the first 45 wherever you want, remove it from the machine, check the angle(adjust/bend more or less as required). A strip of solder forming a 45 will help👍 OK, Mark the centre of the throat of that bend(see my photo). Now to establish the ‘Travel’, from the detail we multiply the offset size by 1.414, which gives us 212mm. So we measure from the ‘centre of throat’ mark 212mm & mark the tube........Pay attention up the back, no falling asleep!! From our 212mm mark we ‘measure back’ 35mm(see the table), put the tube back into the machine with the ‘measure back’ Mark at the start of the former on the pipe stop side. Pull it to 45degrees to form your 150mm offset. Job done👍👍 Im omitting the obvious things; squaring it up etc etc. Try it & let me know how you get on, you could easy have a wee Spread Sheet on your phone which would just require the offset size & angle to be input.
