Hello

Can someone explain to me how to test the immersion & thermostat with a multimeter please?

I need instructions with the complete basics of what setting to turn the multimeter to & where I put the prongs to what readings I should expect

put your blue or black lead on the tester on the neutral -, then put your live testing lead on the incoming live from the wire leading in the immersion, that should read 250 volts, or there abouts, then put the live tester lead on the wire going out of the stat with the stat at full, that should read 250 volts also, now turn the stat down to low, the reading should fall to off, no volts, that indicates, the stat is working,
