I Have a customer who has asked can they have there bathroom radiator connected as a Summer Rad so it comes on when the central is only heating the Hot water .......... Now the Airing cupboard is in the bathroom and the radiator is right beside me to my left as from the photo I have to show you all....... Ok if you look at attached picture is it just a case of running two new pipes one to each side of the coil as it goes in and out of the hot water cylinder

Are all the rads on TRV's except one?

you can do that but, when the cylinder is up to temp, it wall shut off so the rad will go off as well, a better way it to put TRV's on ALL the rads and leave the summer rad with normal wheel head and lock shield, then the turn the heating on constant,

I’d suggest teeing into the Flow between the circulation pump & the Mid-Poss valve & fit a 2 Port zone valve on the Flow to the Summer radiator. With a RF Room Thermostat in the Bathroom to control the radiator.

If the bathroom rad is controlled, you'll be guaranteed the customer will, on a hot summer's day call up and say "that summer rad you fitted isn't working" and you'll be thinking yeah because it's already 30 degrees in the bathroom, so go with the always on valve and have them complaining about the heat instead!! Then you'll get another job when they want it controlled or explain all the options to them first.

Many thanks as always Guy's I think the suggestion from Tom & Battle about putting thermostatic valves on all the Rads
and leave the bathroom with standard wheel head then turn off all the TRV's heating to on and then hot bathroom Radiator
All Summer..............

Many thanks as always Guy's I think the suggestion from Tom & Battle about putting thermostatic valves on all the Rads and leave the bathroom with standard wheel head then turn off all the TRV's heating to on and then hot bathroom Radiator All Summer.............. By doing that, you understand the main Room Thermostat will put the Summer Radiator off? Also, if the CH is ON 24/7 all year, you’ll get a call to replace the 3 Port actuator. It’ll go on the blink very quickly, as the motor will be powered up all the time. Oh & you may need to fit a By-Pass valve.
