Are the full bore ball valves worth the price...not so much concerned with flow rates more on the leaks you get sometimes on the cheapo ones when you shut them off...

Like with Combi boilers ISO valves, shut them off at your Pearl!!! Just don’t touch them.

I've found the more expensive one tend to work as they should and I do prefer the full bore versions so I say yes from me.

its the same with pump valves, the gate type are more reliable than the quarter turn type, when new they both work fine but, as the years pass like everything in life, they piss thier selves

I mean you only need to use them when the pump dies and that is going to be years into the future. In other words doesn't the pump 9 times out of 10 outlive its gate valves ?

I think the OP may be approaching this from the wrong angle. It's not the type of valve (full bore or non f/b) that's more likely to leak or not - whether it be iso valve, gate valve or pump valve. It's whether it is manufactured by a quality producer of brassware or cheap Chinky.
If it's a job for myself or a customer who can see further than the cheapest job possible (not many) - then I would fit something like Pegler valves. Bit more expensive initially, but save lots in the long run due to not having to be replaced with the labour charges that will make the initial penny piching a big mistake. Then there's the possible big bills caused by leaks from Chinky rubbish.

That screwfix one I've fitted all over the house and not joking just happened to fit another pair yesterday. They look the business but they need to be fitted offset or a bit far apart from each other as the handles can clash.

Yes, fit as many of these as I can. Good quality and no faffing around looking for a screwdriver to turn them off. I either offset the valves, of like in you picture, if there's room, turn the elbows outwards slightly so the valves are more vee'd than parallel.
Nice to see someone who appreciates quality too.
