Yes I know I should have listened to most members of the forum and not installed one. Brand new GRohe Rapid Sl installation is trickling water very slightly - I only just noticed today. I've taken out the fluish valve - it had a couple of specks of something on it which I washed off and put back but is still trickling. Washer is obviously brand new. Anyone have any ideas?

Update: Pretty sure its the flush valve as it lets water into the pan even if the cistern is half full of water.
The valve itself doesn't feel very stable at the base - doesn't "click" in anywhere or maybe it does but I can't see it....?
I did notice there is an adjustment for the main flush shown in the instructions looks like a slider thing you can move up and down but mine has no such thing just an empty window.
Fked off if I have to buy another one.
One ray of sunshine though am I right in thinking that since there is no exernal leakage onto the floor etc it means the integrity of the cistern itself and flush pipe should be ok so don't need to think about the nuclear option of removing tiles and boxing....?

I too would agree that your plumbing is tight other than the trickle in the pan is the flush valve. How do you set the overflow on that type of valve have you got that set correctly?

I don't think the overflow is adjustable? The main flush is supposed to be adjustable but as you can see my one seems to be missing a part? This is the exact valve and as you can see there is a blue coloured piece appartently missing on mine. www.grohe.co.uk/notepad/v1/exports/product/42320000?locale=en_gb&fallback_image=Thinking about going back to the seller as it was Ebay so hopefully easy to get them to cough up. Its still a worry though why its letting water into the pan even if that piece was missing and didn't flush properly as far as I can see the only way water can get into the pan from that valve is between the washer at the bottom (unless the water level is so high its draining through the overflow)

The missing item isn't sold separately according to their data sheet so that could be the reason for the leakage. Attachment Deleted

Wow - I hadn't seen that video - it does look very similar to mine. Thanks a lot for finding it !
In the video he takes the valve out as 3 parts. In my service insutrctions there is no mention of that third part at the bottom with the O ring that he adjusts. I tried rotating, pinching, pulling etc and can't get mine out. Not 100% sure I understand their diagram at 2.55
I'll have another play trying to get it out but surely if the O ring was that far out it would piss water out rather than a very small trickle ?

Well I've put in for a refund on ebay. No doubt they'll try to get out of it as I'm outside the 30 day window....

Yes that looks identical to the insutrctions that came with it. That's what started to make me think it was faulty. Still can't see though even though that is missing how it could cause it to let by.

It’ll just be the Flush Valve. Check the plastic seat inside the cistern, there maybe a bit if shit on it?? Also, smear some lubricant silicunt on the Flush Valve Washer👍👍👍 Ensure also the end of the Flush Pipe is not sticking up too far into the cistern.
