Run!!!!.........That pipe& fittings will be as brittle as buggery, that stuff doesn’t age well.
Used loads of it on Hotels etc back in the day & it looked like it would last for ever.
Theres generally a seal onto the Ball of the valve.
be prepared for a flood if you put any strain on any part of the pipework.
