Fooooook me! That's a good un. The amount of times I've cursed dropping the nut and the tap toppling over👍👍

Sorry Tom it’s a FB video & it may not run. Perhaps someone can try to upload it as a standard YouTube video. I did try to convert it & failed.

that is brilliant, well done him and thanks for sharing, that has inspired me to take on kitchen taps again but, I'm kinda sad that, I'd developed a way of holding the tap with one hand at the top and with the other hand holding the plate and nut feeding them on without visual contact and screwing it all together in brail, A skill in itself which now, will die, its an evolution moment,,,

But we all know that the real trick here is getting the old one out.

Tried it today and it worked!! The new tap had solid copper tails so I had to persevere with it quite a bit before it finally went through the hole but it did in the end! Top Tip this one!!

I tried it today on a wash basin & failed. Flexi tails & two bolts. I do think the single bolt type tap would make it easier, perhaps maybe even on basins??

Poss problem with the sink is the hole is a lot thicker, whereas a stainless sink is only couple of mm thick. Maybe a problem, but will await the results of your experiments.
