The all seem to have "great" features which mean you need to press the button 3 or 4 times to turn it on or off. Press too few or too many and you'll get blinded by a strobe light.
Do any of them have a simple on/off ?
Looking for one I can wear on me head.

I've got an old Duracell torch that used to have the traditional filament bulb. I got a direct replacement LED bulb (P13.5S type) for a couple of quid from the land of Corona and put it in the torch. Vastly improved light output from the original.
Also did the same conversion with my old Ever Ready bike lights.
I don't throw my brass around, me.

Not cheap though are they?
I just want a crappy one with a simple on and off switch. Is it just because I'm getting annoyed that things like unneeded strobe lights bother me? Or is it our Chinese friends who don't understand the market they are selling to half the time?

Tere's no way I'd shell out £64 for a light when there are lots much cheaper and, I'd probably leave it in a dark place and forget it,

Why.if you want the right type of light and intensity at the right spot and both hands free they are just the tool you need to have to make money in those places!

I get that yea, I've struggled in places in years gone by with a candle or a paraffin lamp and these modern mobile lamps make life easy but, £64 is a lot to lose when your memory and efficiency has dwindled to the point where, My toolbox gets lighter coming off a job than it was going on the job,

In mid winter in Jockoland you can be working 4-5 hours in the dark. I usually easily find my Head Torch…….eh, on my Head!!!
Cheap Head Torch syndrome; you are in the bowels of a dark attic & they’ll go dead on you & you end up with a leg through a ceiling!! A good one is cheaper than a ceiling repair👍👍
