If you remember I bought a house that was a renovation job and I'm now moving onto the bathroom. Previous occupier has fitted bottle trap onto bath with 32mm waste pipe...im now looking to get inch and a half pipe on it but will need to get pipe externally out the wall and down into the hopper...
Obvs there is a smaller hole there now but how do I use a core drill bit to increase the diameter of the existing hole to accommodate the slightly larger pipe.
Many thanks

You got me wondering too how I'd do that since I'm just the sort who would drill my hole too small (not that you have in this case).
It looks like you'd need a core drill the size of the _existing_ hole to first create a "plug" which you then glue with XF. Sounds like double the work but a lot easier than just a hammer and chisel? (if it works which it should as UH is usually right...)
I wonder if another way could be to start the hole off at an angle and slowly move the core drill into square as it bites into the brick ? No idea if that would work though?

I did see this video...was hoping for a less laborious process but maybe there isn't one ...

core a bit of ply, attach the ply to the wall, use it as a sleeve to get started.

If you have the original core, wedge that back in and start again,

If you have the original core, wedge that back in and start again, Same size core is the way to go I agree Tom. Fix then into each other to get it started.

core a bit of ply, attach the ply to the wall, use it as a sleeve to get started. The above is my preferred method for ovsizing an existing hole.
