Hello all Done some wallpapering today so took a rad off the wall. All ok. Paper looks nice! Went up in the loft to refill & theres been some activity on the unvented. The auto vent above the heating 2 port is dirty & has been in action at some stage. Also I saw a drip on the floor from the temp relief valve. Here’s a pic of the auto vent issue. Any help appreciated. It’s at my gaff so no custards to upset. Cheers all

Which pipe?
I assume it's the pipe with the air vent, the easiest is change the vent as the fail on mass numbers.
If it's a nightmare to get a vent just take it apart and clean it it will just have a bit crap in it.
Now i fit and isolator before the vent if I know it's a sludge bucket system - why cause that way it's super fast access and no draining and filling issues.

I’ll let the pressure off it & swap it. I’ll report back. Thx

The first check on any unvented dripping T/PRV is always at the expansion vessel (to see it there is air in it).
Auto air vents are a bit of a pain so if it's OK with the custard I'd just replace it with a manual one.

If the safety valve is still dripping after the EV swop then you have to assume that it's one of the two safety valves that's at fault.
The pressure release valve seems to be more prone than the temperature/pressure relief valve is to dripping.
You can try and hold it open for 2 mins (to give it a good flush to get rid of any debris), although I've always found this to be an unsuccessful method it could work?

All seems ok. Dropped pressure, changed vent, refilled. All ok.
Cheers all
