Hello
I’ve got a customer who is complaining of noisy clicking pipes when the heating is warming up.
The pipes are upstairs under the floor.
Only clipped in places & the long runs aren’t clipped at all.
How do you get in with the 22mm pipe nail clips?
Will they work & reduce the clicking noise.
Cheers all.

If the pipes are notched into Joists you need Hairfelt around them to reduce the noise.

Dick's right again, uncovered notches get worse if the pipe is held tight against them with nail clips , use felt and less clips, clip the cold main to stop it bouncing but, let the hot pipes glide on insulation to reduce noise, As i used to say to my young plumbers mate called clyde, be cool clyde let the pipes slide,
