How long should it take approximately to do a boiler service? Not a BG 10 min look & feck off.
Also, what should be done, first service on my WB heat only.
Cheers all.

To be honest with you Rocky, It won't need one, As long as its working leave it alone only, if you have problem with something, fix the problem and do a service then, open it up clean all the dust ,check its heatbeat, blood pressure and put it back together, Boiler service is a money making scheme for the firms who do it, It creates work for the operative, the parts people and the maker/manufacture,

thats another money making catch, The chances of a new boiler needing majors in the first 5 years are minimal but, if it repair it, It won't cost you anymore for the parts than if it was serviced, A service does not guarrante anything,

Well, there’s a few main approaches to a boiler servicing; Poke & Print. FAGS. Regulation 26/9.

Just had my Baxi combi boiler serviced rocky by a gas plumber whom at one time was my apprentice.
He took the burner out and cleaned it all up, fitted a new electrode and recharged the expansion vessel, tested the gas rate and filled in all the now significant details of paperwork.
I would say that there's a comfortable "actual on the job" one hours worth of work.

Rocky, get BG out to do the job. Sterling work by the salesma, I mean gas fitter/ service engineer. Within ten minutes he'll be playing pokemon on his mobile, then scratch his head a few times , before telling ya. "Sorry mate, we can't get the parts needed for this." "Stopped mekkin em 30yrs ago, so they did." "Best I can suggest is sign this agreement and allow us to finance and install a top of the range brand new boiler."

Many many years ago I had the BG cover They looked at the boiler once a year for maybe 5-10 minutes
