Silicunt or No More Nails. But check the installation instructions. If it cracks the manufacturers will not guarantee the tray if it’s not fitted as per their instructions.

The high end ones often have kits which do work well.
If its a sensible size i use that CT1 its magic stuff but the price right upstairs compared to other products.

Had one today, usually stick down with tile adhesive but didn’t go off.
Shower tray manufacturers said need to use their own stiff, £15 a tube, 10-12 tubes.
Customer wanted to buy their own materials, expensive lesson!

Some MI's want you to sand and cement them, I never do that because, If it gets damaged, you have to bearswood brown it out with a sledge hammer,

Mapei adhesive mix it yourself Didn’t go off Manufacturer use their own ‘glue’ which I suspect is normal silicone in their own tube with a marked up price.

Any Tray saying sand n cement in their installation instructions, it’s for a reason. It’s all about total support on the tray, they can’t guarantee the casting of the tray, so areas of the tray base will be at various levels. So S&M will give better all over support.

I’ve never had any hassle with the self-mix products but have with the premixed tubs.

Yep. First time for my mate. He’s done plenty. Never had a problem.
