Hi tom, I know you're retired but, I'm using another plumber, he's ok, he's 32 and been plumbing from skool, I'm doing a new refurbish of a full house and the client wants, a wood burner and an electric boiler and he wants to use the log burner in winter and the lectric boiler for hot water in Summer, Is this possible, My new plumber says its not, My answer was. " In plumbing there is nothing impossible so, Yes it can be done ", So then he asks, Can we go to the job, weigh it up and draw a plan ,I'll pay for your time and design ,The young plumber will do all the work, I'm thinking this ' young plumber' is himself, I don't mind doing a design for him but, Why does everyone want to ' pull the wool over your eyes' ?  |

You've got to be so aware of everything that's going on between the lines and strong willed too if you want to totally avoid ever doing an Horace when you've retired.
This was a phone call that I had a few months ago -
"I know that you no longer do jobs on the side Tappy but my sons got an "assortment of plumbing jobs" at his property that need doing is there anyone at your place that still does work on the side? Then added "He's already rang up several plumbers who say that they'll come and have a look at them, but then they never show up"?

IMO the only difficult bit could be getting access to your chimney. If that is easy like mine is then the rest isn't too bad. |

Mate of mine has a fairly good expanding P&H business in Endinburger & he just can’t get any good guys. He says they’re all fucking useless!!
He’s currently advising for guys £32-£38K a Year books in, 32 days holiday, pension, company van, uniform etc......(..FFS even a BJ from the lassie in the office on a Friday). Plus a £1K signing-on bonus!! He still can’t get any good guys!
He’s been on at me for years to start with him & I tell him Edinburgh is a congested shit hole & the people there are unfriendly cunts!! Plus, I make £1K/week on New Builds, start at 8, finish at 3 & a half day on a Friday........Sorted!!!!
If that young Pup was worth his Salt Tom, he’d design everything himself!! Useless cunt!!
