Cheers Dickie, was wondering if I had one for the living room, I could turn the central heating down say 10 degrees, so the living room is nice and warm and the rest of the house a bit cooler . Or is it hardly worth it ? ( I can always put three jumpers and a big coat n gloves on ) 😂😂😂 I’m sure you could JJ. They’re various outputs & the price increases with the increase in output. Further on efficiency, so the SCOP or COP is based on for example; 1KW of Leccy in & 3KW of Heat or cooling out would have a SCOP/COP of 300%. They were very popular in Conservatories when they were all the rage. Good for a blast of hot air or AC in the Summer. Of course, you’re farting at thunder trying to heat a Conservatory in the Winter, the heat Loss is too great. Just another wee point on heating; it’s a popular misconception that Heating only one room will save you money. The heat from any room will migrate into a cold room through partitions & doors etc. Partitions are not insulated, only outside walls, HOPEFULLY!!

I'm always amazed at who and how anyone ever thought up all this technology in the first place?

On a warm day the unit will quickly and cheaply find you that extra 10 degrees of heat for your living room . On a freezing cold day it will be running forevermore to find you that extra 10 degrees of heat for your living room . Whatever you do don't throw away your jumpers and coats !
