I used to suffer with me knees years ago when I was working on the building sites (specially in the cold weather) You'd be surprised just how much time us joiners spent on our knees (Every house has bloody skirting boards in them)

Sorry to read your out of sorts, Is it just a case of you’ve worn the joints out Tom or is it arthritis?
I laughed when I saw this quote when I was out and about “hard work breaks machines, servicing is there medicine!”

arthritis and gout and worn out joints Battle, cycling helps because the weight is off the joints but just at the moment, I can't bend my knee at all so I'm immobile, To be honest, I've not done too bad, 50 years at plumbing and all that comes with it, carrying, boilers, baths toilets, cast iron, we unload them, distribute them round the house/site, hang them on the wall, plus a van full of tools, its a life of manual work and it gets harder as we grow older so, to reach the age of 70 and still be shagging, drinking and cycling most days, I've no reason to complain but, its a pisser when we have good weather and i can't get about, I've been here before and toughed it out and I'll be back again soon and thanks all for the kind words, Time for another drink

A couple of exercises for sore knees. Sit on a high stool, wearing heavy boots & swing your lower leg back & forward. Stand with your back tight to a wall & bend your feet up in the air, pivoting on your heels.
Almonds & Walnuts are good for sore knees, lots of Omega 3 & 6. Oily fish too is a great source of Omega 3 & 6
I hope your condition improves soon Tom👍

If someone gave me the choice between a haddock and a pint of beer, the beer would win hands down 😂😂😂😂

Me for example, oats & porridge was hailed as a wonder food, a plate of porridge in the morning & as a carbohydrate, it’ll slow release will fill you up all morning & some of the afternoon. Great for the Jam Tar etc. After eating it daily for 30 years, I discovered it was giving me the shits in the afternoon. After some further investigation & watching some Utube videos, some Doctors advised not even feeding it to a Horse!!! It’s health benefits were dreamed up by the likes of Quaker & Kelloggs in the 60’s. Supported by North American Farmers. I stopped having porridge & made problem disappeared. Eggs on toast in the morning now, but only Organic eggs, as these are the only ones that are truly Free Range.

He had his moment of fame when those "Turkey Twizzlers" got taken off the market. I thought his 15 minute recipes TV cooking series was quite good though. My personal favourite TV chief though has to be the late Keith Floyd who would slurp at the cooking sherry whilst cooking a roast partridge or something similar ! Wouldn't be allowed to broadcast that nowadays!!
