link's not working sal, you changing the 3 port will account for the water noise round the cylinder, that will be air, But nothing to do with no hot water, that is pointing to an air lock, its quite common in flats because there is only a small height differance between the cylinder and the taps, there is no great force of gravity to push it through, try the methods in the video a few times,

sal, its the same tap only a differant way to turn taps open, cover the end in the same way and open both taps, but if its not an air lock you could be barking up wrong tree, the tank may be not replenishing, go to your big tank in the attic and see if there is water up to the top, if not that is your problem, My tank in plastic is in airing cupboard above the hot water cylinder. That's about the only thing I have not looked into yet. Because I live in ex council property's guess I am getting my water feed from a shared tank in the roof somewhere. If there is no water up to the top what can I do about it. The thing is because it's wrapped around in plastic it hard to reach and analyse.

that could well be the problem sal, If you have a shared tank in the attic there may be a valve on there that the plumber turned off and did't open enough or has siezed, can you not get him back to have a butchers,,

But I have twisted that stopcock both ways many times, now it is is anti clockwise position i.e open. The tank I have is not shared, can't be it is just a medium size plastic container.

sometimes that valve can break inside, you think its turning but only the spindle is, its not doing anything, that maybe the problem, ask the plumber to come back and check it for you,

Nothing so far in bath tap

sal, is this in the attic?, you need to get up there and see how much water is in that tank, it needs to be full and when the HOT tap is open the inlet to that tank shuld be running,

I tried to dig my hand as much as I can into this container but could not feel any water touching tip of my fingers. It definitely not full otherwise I would have felt it in fingers. I wait for one more reply tonight as it is getting late and I really do appreciate the replies from all. Have work till Sunday now but will keep chipping away at it, only nag is the I can't have bath at home. Regards Sal

I feel thats your problem then sal, if that tank is not filling it can't feed the cylinder and thats why you have no hot water,At a guess the ball valve has siezed,

Maybe if it's a fairly modern building / flat there may well be check valves on the pipes below the sink / basin thus stopping the cold water pushing out the airlock.....this sounds like a total fuck up by the idiot that did the tap change or there is something very wrong somewhere......!

Came home to find my Mrs yelling at me because she had a person living below us complaining of leak to her home, I realised yesterday I did not turn the stopcock of kitchen tap to full anti-clockwise and left it little open. Also my airing cupboard little wet because I was opening and closing gate valve few times

Ok good news, bcz of situation last night I had no alternative but to call 24/7 emergency plumber. Fixed the leaking stopcock under kitchen sink, no worries from neighbour downstairs and looked at hot taps as well. He said your water container taking long to replenish the water bcz it's s old gravity low pressure system. He checked few thinks like boiler, air cupboard for water flow, played around with taps like I did to release any airlock and that's about it,
All in all he was in for an hour, we paid him £165 to get both things done. I still need to check tonight when I get home but seem OK, at first water came out in bursts like in kitchen tap and then normal.
Basically like somebody said here and kudos to all of you that water is not being replinushed was spot on.

You have just seen the last episode, it had all the drama, suspense of leaking taps, uncertainty, action and emotional. Thank you all for being a good audience.
