I got called out last night 7pm, " no hot water" so i went out, only just round the corner, they'd had a bath fitted and the 'plumber' could't get the hot water to run,( I suspect the 'plumber' was the householder), he'd googled how to shift an air lock and when it did't work he found my number and rang me, It turns out the cylinder cold feed gate valve has sheared, BUT there's two 50 gallon tanks up there full of water and no way to drain them, So i said " sorry mate there's no way tonight" and took £70 as a call out, I'm going tomorrow to change the gate valve, wish me luck  |
