Good luck with it tom (it might take a bit of getting used to) I've still not used it on any taps yet, though I did use it to undo the nut from inside a WC cistern in order to swop a Torbeck valve top part the other day.

Glad you liked the crawldad spanner tom. It does seem to have more grip on the head that the one I lost, so maybe it was worth buying the monument named one. Yesterday I turned a stop tap off through a hole cut in some boxing that also contained the soil pipe and upon turning it back on I noticed that the stop tap gland was now leaking. Not wishing to take the floor to ceiling boxing off I tried my new crawldad through the hole to see if I could lock onto that leaking gland, after 4 or 5 mins' I eventually managed to get 1/4 turn on it which was enough to stop the gland leaking !
